Job Title: Service Technician
Location: Ellesmere Port and client sites across the UK
Salary: £32,000 plus overtime door to door
Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday – Friday plus overtime

Key Responsibilities
- Perform service, commissioning, and remote support for Velcorin chemical dosing units in the drinks industry.
- Install, commission, and maintain a range of gas detection equipment including fixed and mobile detectors, control panels, and “safe to enter” systems.
- Compile comprehensive service reports, including fault diagnosis and customer recommendations.
- Liaise closely with the Service Operations Coordinator to manage consignment stock for Gas Detection / Lanxess customers.
- Work collaboratively with the After Sales Manager to resolve technical issues and identify commercial opportunities.
- Provide in-house technical support to the Manufacturing Department as needed.
- Take responsibility for personal and team health and safety, adhering to Health & Safety Manual.
- Support the implementation and adherence to Quality Assurance and Environmental Management Systems.
- Act as the front-line representative of the business during customer interactions, both on-site and remotely.
Requirements
- Prior experience in an industrial environment.
- NVQ 3 in Electrical Maintenance
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Proficient in the use of test and measurement equipment such as multi-meters and Druck devices.
- Solid understanding of gas detection principles and practical application.
- Good working knowledge of electrical engineering and low voltage systems.
- Awareness of site-based health and safety practices.
