Salary: £70 per hour Inside IR35

Hours: 40 hours a week.  Flexible hours.  Core hours 9:30am to 3:30pm

Contract/Permanent: Contract

Site Based/Office/Remote: Site based with flexibility to work from home

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Control, Electrical & Instrumentation (CE&I) Engineer to join our nuclear consultancy team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions for nuclear projects. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide innovative and safe engineering solutions.

To be considered, candidates MUST have Safety Case Substantiation experience.  It is a vital requirement.

 

What will your day look like?

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of CE&I systems for nuclear projects.
  • Develop engineering solutions for new-build, operational support, and decommissioning projects within the nuclear sector.
  • Perform electrical load calculations, cable sizing, and protective device coordination.
  • Conduct instrumentation selection, configuration, and integration into nuclear plant systems.
  • Ensure designs meet regulatory requirements, industry codes (IEC, BS, IEEE, ONR, IAEA, etc.), and safety guidelines.
  • Oversee and review CE&I specifications, schematics, drawings, reports, and calculations. 

 

Formal qualifications or training:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Control, or Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards it (IET or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years’ of experience in CE&I engineering.
  • Nuclear experience
