Site Based / Office / Remote: Office based – This role is predominantly based at our office in Stone. Occasional visits may be required to site/client premises (less than 2 per month on average) to undertake design surveys or meetings. These visits may involve an overnight stay which will be funded by the company.

Job Overview:
As a Process Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in reshaping the landscape of the gas sector while advancing your own professional journey.

Primary Duties:
- Act as a Process Design Engineer in support of major / minor projects for the oil and gas industry.
- Be responsible for the production of process related designs, such as P&ID/process flow diagrams, hazardous area diagrams, specification/data sheets, ventilation designs & calculations, heating, heat loss & cooling calculations, flow and pressure loss calculations, pressure test procedures, method statements and procedures.
- Participate in functional process safety assessments (Design Review, HAZOP, HAZID, Etc).
- Design of analyser sample and support gas systems, analyser kiosk designs.
- Specification of process equipment and materials.
- Produce design packs to client specifications.
- Liaison with other departments such as production and CAD in respect to Process Engineering issues / queries.
- Attend meetings with the client with respect to design reviews and progress updates in support of the project manager/design team.
- Manage Technical Queries in relation to the projects which you are appointed to.
- operational procedures.
Secondary Duties:
- Team member of standardisation of designs.
- Liaison with suppliers with respect to the procurement of process related components for the production / installation team.
- Liaison with stores and production with review of the quality of supplied components and issues.
Essential Skills:
- HNC in Process/Chemical Engineering or associated discipline.
- Previous design experience within hazardous areas.
Desirable Skills:
- BEng in Process/Chemical Engineering or associated discipline.
- Previous experience in sample system design.
- Previous experience with chromatography.
- Good understanding of hydrocarbons and natural gas.
- Good understanding of IGEM/SR/25.
- Incorporated Engineer or working towards Incorporated Engineer.
- Previous experience of the gas utilities/networks (e.g., G17 / G35, PS-6, GL5) design process
